H: Habits of Embracing Life

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Aristotle

So too, can the attitude of embracing life become a habit.

Thought Catalog says this about the power of habits:

It takes only 21 days for most habits to form. This means that if you are able to repeat a beneficial behavior over and over for three weeks, it will form as a habit. In the beginning, this will be really difficult. But once you master the challenge, all the pain and difficulties will be forgotten. What will be left is the astonishment how easily you are able to successfully perform your new habit, mostly without even thinking about it.

What are some habits that would help us in our quest to embrace life?

  • Keep Learning.
  • Embrace an attitude of gratitude.
  • Make an effort to show appreciation.
  • Have goals and dreams for the future.
  • Share our blessings with others.
  • Look for the positive in life.
  • Take action to move towards the life you desire.

How can we take these thoughts and make them part of our daily life, repeating every day until it becomes a habit?

Ready for Zero has an excellent blog post on change and creating lasting habits. They also encourage that we embrace being human and allow ourselves to make mistakes. (Lots of good information on this blog. I encourage you to check it out.)

What attitudes and actions of embracing life would you like to make a habit?

A very nice post. I am participating in A-Z Challenge with a hope that this occasional blogging will change in to a habit. I heard about the 21 days to form habit.
